Just like your bouquet sets the tone for your ceremony, your signature cocktail sets the tone for the party to follow!
Will you keep it classic and simple with a moscow mule? Or vibrant and fun with a tequila mixer? Whatever vibe you want to set for your reception, one of these 4 cocktails is sure to be the perfect fit as your signature wedding drink.
Lavender Gin and Tonic
Light, refreshing with a hint of good luck. Serve this signature cocktail as a symbol of your love and devotion. The beautiful purple color will be sure to catch the attention of all your guests.
What You’ll Need:
- Gin
- Dried Organic Lavender
- Tonic Water
- Lime Juice
- Dried Butterfly Pea Tea
How to Prepare:
There are two ways to craft a Lavender Gin and Tonic for your wedding day. You can infuse your gin with dried lavender. Or you can buy Empress Gin which already has a purple color to it.
To infuse your gin, use 2 tablespoons of lavender to 1 ½ cups of gin. Let it sit anywhere from 5 to 24 hours. The longer it sits, the stronger the taste and smell. Once finished, pour the gin through a mesh strainer and throw the dried lavender away.
For a bold purple hue like in the photo above, you can add the additional step of infusing lime juice with Butterfly Pea Tea. Combine 2 tablespoons of dried butterfly pea flowers with 4 ounces of lime juice. Let it infuse for about an hour, and it will turn a deep purple color when mixed with the rest of your cocktail ingredients!
Garnish your cocktails with a lime and a sprig of dried lavender.
